INTRODUCTION
A non-profit, government-approved charitable institution in Pakistan providing sustainable solutions through interest-free loans and productive capital.
Jamil Khan Welfare Organization is a non-profit, government-approved charitable institution working in Pakistan to provide sustainable solutions to hunger, poverty, unemployment, and economic instability through interest-free loans and productive capital. We firmly believe that temporary charity is not a permanent solution to social problems; true welfare lies in enabling individuals and families to earn a dignified livelihood and become self-reliant.
The organization supports men and women who are either ineligible for bank loans or who avoid interest-based financing due to religious reasons. Special efforts are made to identify and support the most vulnerable segments of society—such as the underprivileged, deserving, disabled, and impoverished—by providing them with income-generating opportunities so that they may stand on their own feet.
Jamil Khan Welfare Organization also serves as a trusted platform for philanthropists who wish to spend their surplus wealth in the way of Allah in a secure, purposeful manner and as a form of Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous charity). Donations given to the organization are not merely spent; rather, they are transformed into income-generating assets. The returns from these assets are continuously utilized to provide interest-free loans, productive capital, and essential food support to needy families.
In this way, donors witness their contributions creating benefit in this world and becoming a source of reward in the Hereafter, in accordance with the Qur’anic encouragement for charity and spending in the path of Allah (Al-Baqarah: 219, 261).
Our society does not suffer from a lack of resources, but from the absence of an organized and just system. Every year, billions are spent in the name of charity, yet effective and sustainable mechanisms for poverty alleviation and self-reliance remain weak. To address this gap, the organization presents an economic model founded on brotherhood, cooperation, and Taqwa (God-consciousness), which has the potential to contribute meaningfully to the eradication of poverty and unemployment at both community and national levels.
Inspired by the historic example of the Well of Rumah—the great Sadaqah Jariyah established by Hazrat Usman ibn Affan (RA)—this organization offers a practical model for transforming charitable donations into sustainable welfare. By the grace of Allah, the institution has earned the trust of mosques, the general public, and various sectors of society, and continues to serve with transparency and integrity under the guidance of renowned economists and Shariah scholars.
- Interest-free loans and productive capital to enable dignified, self-reliant livelihoods.
- Focused support for vulnerable groups: underprivileged, deserving, disabled, and impoverished families.
- Donations converted into income-generating assets for continuous, sustainable welfare impact.
- Transparency and integrity under the guidance of economists and Shariah scholars.
VISION
Turning surplus wealth into dignified livelihoods through interest-free support.
In the present era, the country’s economic system has become so complex that starting any kind of business without capital has become almost impossible. Even a small home-based business requires tools, buying and selling capacity, and capital for growth and expansion. Unfortunately, access to capital for the common person is becoming increasingly difficult—almost impossible—day by day. As a result, the economy has gradually become confined to a specific privileged class.
The fundamental objective of Jamil Khan Welfare Organization is to become an exemplary institution—one that, by being seen or even heard of, inspires men and women to realize that whatever portion of their wealth or income remains after fulfilling their legitimate needs should not go to waste. Instead, it should be used for deeds that improve the Hereafter and to ease the life of a poor and starving person. What better way can there be to prepare for the Hereafter than this?
Surah Al-Baqarah (2:219) emphasizes spending what is surplus to your needs in the way of Allah—prioritizing the deserving after one’s necessities have been met.
While acts such as performing Umrah and building mosques are highly virtuous, the essence of this guidance is to spend surplus wealth on those in need—an act that is a great virtue and highly beloved to Allah.
This act is not merely a personal form of worship; rather, Allah Almighty has described it as Qard-e-Hasanah (a goodly loan) and has promised to return it multiplied many times over (Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:245).
The message of these verses is that after fulfilling one’s own needs, spending extra wealth on the poor—especially those living in extreme hardship—and helping them escape the trap of poverty by providing loans and enabling them to stand on their own feet may be even more beloved in the sight of Allah.
Providing a loan is better than giving charity. For anyone in the community who cannot improve their life solely due to a lack of capital, this organization will provide that capital in the form of an interest-free loan. Recovery will not be the primary objective; rather, improving the economic condition of the individual will be the true goal. If the borrower is unable to repay on time, the organization will wait patiently, and if repayment still becomes impossible, it will not insist and will forgive the amount as charity.
- Interest-free capital for micro and home-based businesses to become self-reliant.
- Surplus wealth turned into sustainable support for the most deserving.
- Qard-e-Hasanah model with patience in recovery and forgiveness when repayment becomes impossible.
